The design competition of la plage de l'Est, organized in collaboration with the Bureau du design de la Ville de Montréal, aims to create a remarkable beach concept for the neighborhood. Located in the Pointe-au-Trembles community, on the 94e Avenue, at the intersection of Bellerive street, the competition plans the organization of a site that borders the Saint-Laurent river and a public access to the waterfront. This site will grant easier access to the bank of the river, allow the practice of a diversity of recreational activities and will give back to the citizens that possibility to own the river and its attractions. The competition should highlight innovative approches aiming at the harmonious integration between the planning concepts proposed and the landscape in which they are inserted.
