Design and architecture professionals and students from all over the world are invited to propose creative and innovative solutions to breathe new life into the roof's components, which are made up of a variety of materials, including the iconic cables that support the current roof, the two inner and outer membranes, and the fittings that support the structure.
The ideas competition is open to the international community in order to gather as many environmentally, economically and socially optimal suggestions as possible. Quebecers will then be invited to vote for their favorite of the eight ideas selected by a jury of recognized experts.
