[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”26433″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]The jury responsible for evaluating doctoral candidates submitted to the 2023-2024 scholarship competition, made up of professors from Quebec universities and BAnQ specialists, has awarded Lucie Palombi a $12,500 doctoral scholarship for her project entitled “Textualit\u00e9 et projet en architecture – Approche interpr\u00e9tative et comparative d’\u00e9crits r\u00e9dig\u00e9s par des architectes qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois”. Lucie is completing her thesis in the Individualized Doctorate in Architecture program under the supervision of Jean-Pierre Chupin.<\/p>\n

Lucie Palombi’s application for this competition was recommended by Phyllis Lambert, founder of the Canadian Centre for Architecture. At BAnQ Vieux-Montr\u00e9al, Lucie is studying the fonds of Quebec architect and writer Jacques Folch-Ribas, winner of numerous literary awards. In particular, she analyzes his correspondence with leading names in the world of literature and publishing (Marguerite Yourcenar, Herv\u00e9 Bazin, Jean Cayrol, Mich\u00e8le Lalonde and Robert Laffont), and questions the criteria that tip an architect from the status of “writer” to that of writer.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
