Sea-change was a design competition about Vancouver's most dramatic space -it's waterfront. The competition was open to architects, artists, landscape architects, planners, and all other interested parties. The 54 participants were asked to create hypothetical, conceptual, or reality-based design ideas for sites along the city's seawalls and shorelines. Entrants were to choose their own site or sites, from Wreck Beach to the Second Narrows Bridge. Entrants had the possibility to choose any site (or sites) that is (or will be in the foreseeable future) part of the publicly accessible waterfront within the limits of the City of Vancouver.
